who will direct at 625 6658 Only one rehearsal is scheduled at St Paul Lutheran Church on Sunday afternoon April 9 at 4 Poets take note Iambic pentameter sonnet haiku anything but a limerick they are all suitable for entry into the 1 3th annual Poetry Contest sponsored by the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council Entrants may submit a maximum of two poems with a minimum of eight lines each Poetry may be on any sub ject and in any form except limerick The poems may not have been previ ously published or performed publicly Name address telephone number and grade and school if applicable should be noted on the back of the final page of each poem submitted No information other than the poem should appear on the front of each submis sion Categories are grades 4 and 5 mid dle school high school and adult First place winners in each category will receive a gold medallion cash and passes to Arts Council member orga nization events Second place winners receive silver medallions and third place winners are awarded bronze medallions Prizes will be presented at the Arts Council General Membership meeting in April The Poetry Awards Presenta tion will be followed by a reception for poets family Cootie Pup Tent with its Ladies Auxiliary are sponsoring a Veterans Day Out March 18 Location is the Texas Army National Guard Armory commencing at 10 and ending at 2 The program is intended to provide veterans who are patients in Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital under the Extended Care Therapy Center unit an unforgettable day in their honor The veterans with some assistance will participate in a variety of games a magician will provide entertainment and the program will conclude with five music Local people interested in veterans affairs are encouraged to stop by the armory and talk to
