To make a reservation, call Betty Richter 651 -6668 or Fey Harris at 651 -5201. Valentine fund-raiser The Children’s Shelter 7th Annual Valentine Fundraiser is here. Have a Valentine delivered (in city limits) to someone special. Only $10 for a balloon in a candy-filled keepsake basket - all tied up with ribbon and a special card. Call 629-0523 Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to place your orders. Limited number available. Volunteers needed to help with deliveries from 9 a.m. to I p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Music Club scholarship Graduating high school seniors who plan music majors in college may apply for the $500 scholarship awarded each year by the New Braunfels Music Study Club. Applications are available from the three high school band and choral directors. Deadline, Feb. ll, auditions March 4 at Seele Parish Hall. There is a $2.50 application fee. Ctty-wids garage sale The second annual City-Wide Garage Sale sponsored by the Children’s Museum in New Braunfels is sure to be bigger and better than last year. Come to buy, browse, or rent a booth for yourself or your organization. Booth rental is $25 for one and $20 tor each additional - on a first come, first served basis. Collsgs day Southwest Texas State University hosts a College Day Feb. 11 to help prospective students become familiar with the university and its programs The event is designed to help high school juniors and seniors and their parents, as well as transfer students, learn about SWT Activities begin at 9 a.m., with check-in at the Evans Auditorium lobby, and end with residence hall and campus tours from 2 p m. to 3:30 p.m. Lunch served in Jones Diner for 4:75. For information, call (512) 245-2340. Valentine’s ball The Grucne Mansion Inn, a gourmet meal and live music by Monty ‘Guitar’ Tyler are the perfect ingredients for a Valentine’s Day Ball. Rose seminar Members of the San Antonio Rose Society will conduct a very informative Rose Clinic at Schulz Nursery in Marion from IO a.m. until noon on Saturday. Feb. 11. Rattler Roast Texas Lutheran College Rattler Roast will be Saturday. Feb. 11 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. prior to the Texas Luthcran-St. Mary’s basketball games. Free hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks will be available on the lawn between the Jones Physical Education Complex and Blumberg Memorial Library of the Texas Lutheran campus. Love ’em large The National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance. Hill Country Chapter, would like to invite all fat people and their admirers to their Valentine dance on Feb. 11, 1995. The dance starts at 8:00 p m. and runs until 1:00 a m. It will be held at VFW Post 9174. 2410 Pinn Rd., in San Antonio. Parent support luncheon The Schertz-Cibolo-Univcrsal City Student Resource Center has set a special education parent support luncheon meeting Thursday, Feb. 16 from noon to I p.m. at Clyde Ford Village, 204 Schertz Parkway, Schertz. Topic will be Alternatives to Physical Punishment. Bring a sack lunch. Tea and cookies will be served and a door prize given away. Clay Crosse concert Nashville recording artist Clay Crosse will be in concert Friday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at First Protestant Church. Tickets arc $10. Winter Garden ‘A Winter Garden,' the Mid-Texas Symphony Ball and debutante presentation, will be held Feb. 18 in the New Braunfels Civic Center. A cocktail buffet will be provided by Molly Joe’s Catering with dancing to the Kcd Par-rock Orchestra. A limited number of tickets arc available at Accents, 173 S. Seguin St., until Feb. 15. Children’s hour Introduce your child to the world of fine art. ‘Pantry’ Style.’ Beans, pasta, flour, salt, water and food coloring will be the ingredients used to create a work of art. And best of all. your kitchen doesn’t have to be turned into an art studio. This program is for children ages four and five.
