Gothron E. Bond Gothron E. Bond, age 83, of Canyon Lake, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1995. Mr Bond was a member of the Canyon Lake Church of Christ. The son of Gothron and Nora Davis Bond of Temple, he married Artie Hayden Bouchi lion in 1935. They moved from San Antonio to Canyon Lake in 1963 where Mr. Bond entered the real estate business. He was General Manager for Tom Sheridan Enterprises and worked on the development of Sattler and Canyon Lake Village. He developed Skyline Acres, Village Shores, and Village West. He was a member of Canyon Lake Masonic Lodge No. 1425 A.F. & A.M., a member of Scottish Rite and Alfazar Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Artie Haydon Bond of Canyon Lake; two sons, Gothron “Bud” Bond and wife Dorothy, of Hondo, and Jack H. Bond and wife Kathy, of Memphis, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Wesley, Clay, Courtney and Hayden Bond; and a sister, Leeta Reilly, of Edinburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. ll, 1995 at 1:00 p.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at Canyon Lake, with Mr. Carl Dye officiating. Interment will follow at Crane’s Mill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and continue until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tye Preston Memorial Library or the Canyon Lake Church of Christ.
