Francisca Valdez gradu ated from Southwest Texas State Uni versity on Dec 17 1994 earning a BA in geography with a minor in his bry She is a member of the following honor societies Gamma Theta Upsilon or geography Phi Alpha Theta for history and Kappa Delta Pi for educa ion Miss Valdez graduates as a eacher Margie Ryan a New Braunfels resident has been awarded National Certification as a Massage Therapist by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork In order to receive this certification applicants must have completed at least 250 hours of instruction pass a state icensing examination and pass the national certification examination Mrs Ryan graduated in April 1994 from the LautersteinConway Massage School in Austin after successfully completing their 300hour Massage Therapy Program She is currently licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Massage Therapist License No MT8996 She continues to further her educa tion a requirement to maintain Nation al Certification by attending continuing education courses Mrs Ryan recently attended a Deep Massage Workshop in Austin and the St John Neuromuscular Pain Relief Seminar in Albuquerque New Mexico Both with a major in Account ing He is employed by the Charles T Allen CPA firm on Landa Street in New Braunfels Todd was a 1989 graduate of Smithson Valley High School He and his wife Tammy will reside in Spring Branch Tarleton State Darryl is a 1990 gradu ate of Smithson Valley High School McCullough tola Smith lola D Smith a St Philips Col lege nursing student has been awarded a Cecelia Springmeyer Nursing Schol arship Ms Smith is the daughter of lola Reininger of New Braunfels and Bud Jacobsen of Dayton Nevada She is a widow with grown children and is fulfilling a lifelong desire to be a Presently she is employed parttime at McKenna Memorial Hospital in the Communications department Darren Edward Sulfridge of New Braunfels son of Dennis Sul fridge was listed on the Presidents Honor Roll for the 1994 fall quarter at Texas State Technical College TSTC in Waco Sulfridge is a student in the Computer Science Technology pro gram and has maintained a grade point average of William Thomas Matthews of New Braunfels son of Deanna S Matthews was listed on the Deans Honor Roll for the 1994 fall quarter at Texas State Technical College TSTC in Waco Matthews is a student in the Drafting and Design Technology pro gram and has maintained a grade point average between and daughter of Trinidad Carrriona and Nieves Gutierrez She is married to Daniel Gutierrez and they have three sons Carole McCullough has been named the new manager for the Rennert New Braunfels Travel office at 367 Lan da Street She replaces Craig Sagebiel who recently retired Teri Simon has been named assis tant manager McCullough is no stranger to the travel business as she has been in the industry for 26 years She has owned three agencies including two in Texas and one in Arizona She has managed several agencies and is currently man ager of the Rennert Seguin Travel office as well as the New Braunfels location I look forward to being actively involved in the Carole said She is currently on
