water sprinkler for Mgr OCallaghan Tarry Burto Sally DeViney Vera Rlgga and Daloraa Burch Catholic Daughters Tuesday June 7 the Cathdic Daugh ters held a covered dish meal in St Marys Hall honoring our priests and deacons and their wives to say thank you for the service and guidance they provide The evening began with Msgr Edward Bily saying Mass followed by a delicious meal The Catholic Daughters presented Msgr Eugene OCallaghan with a new holy water sprinkler to replace the much used old one Committee mem bers were Terry Burto Sally DeViney Vera Riggs and Delores Burch SOS Food Bank The regular meeting of SOS Inc Food Bank board of directors was held June Those directors present were Howard Beutler Peace Luther an Lindel Bittick Oakwood Baptist Gladys Bailing First Protestant Ebensberger as Outside Guard of the Auxiliary The Auxiliary voted to have four birthday parties during the Eagle year and two membership parties and past presidents to have the Bingo Kitchen every fifth Thursday Clare Peterson was appointed as auditor and Bernice Ebensberger as publicity chairman Seven members were dropped from the membership list Bob Schima was presented a plaque from Grand of his participation in the Art Contest sponsored by the Auxiliary The Fall Leadership Conference will be held in San Antonio in October Five of the delegates to the State Convention gave their reports The State Project for the Lions Childrens Camp raised to reconstruct the Eagles Trail that has deteriorated over the last several years Adelene Row was elected State Con ductor and also received Woman of the Year Award Carol Oietels Activity Book for President Barbara Alves received second place Sick and Visiting Committee report on Lola Dischinger Elsie Kneupper Maxine Furst Lena Elley Teska Marksmann Elizabeth Wohlfahrt Frances Hal berdier and Debbie Hester Family Outreach Family Outreach held their monthly board meeting on June 9 The focus of the meeting was on upcoming fund raising possibilities Two prospective new board members were introduced Chad Israel an aircraft maintenance engineer and David Friesenhahn an Assistant County Attorney On June 12 Family Outreach vol unteers and board members attended a summer social On June 15 the nominating com mittee and planning committee met Board members were nominated for officer positions on the board The nominees will be announced at the Gay Forties Club Hostesses Lorene Rledel Marie Jarlsch and Tamrny Pfeutfer at the Gay Forties Club party at Gruene Inn next board meeting The planning committee discussed the upcoming Annual Board Meeting and ways to get volunteers involved in the meet ings Volunteer appreciation ideas were also discussed The next board meeting is sched uled for August Anyone inter ested in becoming a member is wel comed to attend or call 6201299 Friedens Church Friedens Church located in Geroni mo Texas held its annual major fund raiser for their building fund projects June The fish fry meal the craft store cake sales childrens fun booths as well as the auction of donated items was extremely successful The church body wishes to thank those persons both member and nonmembers who participated in this fundraiser for their support and hard work There was fine food fun laughter intermingled with an effective fundraising project The fellowship at Friedens fills the air with warmth and good cheer Thanks be to God and to all the friends of Friedens Gay Forties Club Dr James Lewis welcomes mem bers Madelyn Harris and Ruth Doeppenschmldt to the Gay Forties Party at the Gruene Inn Starlight Ballroom Dance Club The Starlight Ballroom Dance Club held their Patriotic Dance on July 9 at the Eagles Hall Music was provided by the Little The hall was decorated with an American flag i
