Conference finals and thats where he intends for them to stay Now the pressure is on said the NBA MVP who led he Rockets to wins in the opening two games of the bestof7 series Tonights Game 3 will be played in the Delta Center This is the first lime they have the opportunity to play here We have to keep the pressure on to see how they will In scoring 72 points to lead Ihe Rockets to 10088 and 10499 vicjtaries in Houston Olajuwon celebrated being named MVP with his teammates The chemistry is there the tuning is there and we are playing together again as a team and he said For Utah guard John Stockton finding a way to beat the Rockets means cooling off Olajuwon in the two games in Salt Lake City We have to fijwre out he said As a team we have 10 make him feel uncomfortable But if anybody knows how he wouldnt be the MVP Hes exactly what you the Utah coach Jerry Sloan found ways to contain two oth er dominant big men San Antonios David Robinson and Denvers Dikembe Mutombp in the first and second rounds But he admits Olajuwon has been unas sailable though Sloan has tried everything double teams even tripleteams to slow him down I thought our guys were guarding him pretty well but he makes a shot going across the lane leaning and falling down but makes he lamented Thats what great players In Game 2 the Jazz tried to counter Olajuwons 41 points with the 32point performance of Karl Malone But the Rockets also owned the perimeter hitting eight 3 pointers to three for Utah Still Sloan insisted Utahs road to victory lies through the paint We want to go inside We never want to play out on the 3point he said We cant have a chance to win if we cant get to the free throw That point is nowhere more apparent than in Mai ones statistics In Utahs Game 1 loss he hit just two of three foul shots In Game 2 Malone worked inside earning 18 free throws and making 12 Jones agrees to let NFL audit Cowboys DALLAS own er Jerry Jones has consented to a National Football League audit
