The Hair Olympics were the 1994 World Hairdressing Championships and International Exhibition. . Stylists representing countries from around the world competed to see who could do the best haircuts and hairstyles. There were a variety of cate-gories for competition. They included: Gentleman’s Hairdressing; Ladies’ Hairdressing; Razor Sculpture Cuts; Commercial Consumer, Commercial Fashion; Hair by Night; and Progressive Hairstyling. All categories were judged individually and medals were awarded. At the end of the show the medals were tallied and the country with the most medals won as the Overall Team. The team from Japan won the overall competition for the 1994 Hair Olympics. The team was well organized and had much support. United Kingdom stars presented their stunning hair collections. The most exciting teams Vicki and Blayne observed were Trevor Sorbie, Toni and Guy, and Vidal Sasoon. England has become almost tribal in its interpretation of fashion.
