Local kids excel at 4-H fashion show Seven 4-H club members from Comal County placed in the top five at the 1994 District IO Fashion Show held recently at Canyon High School. There were 207 contestants competing in the event. In the 4-H Clothing Program, participants study wardrobe planning and coordinating, fashion, textiles, buying and garment construction — along with grooming, poise and the social/psychological aspects of clothing. Results of the District Show follow: Construction-Casual — Chrissy Corley, 2nd place senior Construction-Casual — Jill Rust, 2nd place 13 years old Construction-Dressy — Bethany Taylor, 4th place 13 years old Buying-Dressy — Kristen Klein, 1st place 13 years old Construction-Dressy — Sarah Voges, 5th place 11 years old Buying-Dressy — Amanda Dieted, 2nd place 11 years old Buying-Dressy — Kirsten Taylor, 3rd place 9 years old Modeling — winner, Rebecca Taylor, Pre-Junior Also competing were Carly Botchers, Lindsey Van Horn, Rebecca Taylor, Heidi O’Keefe, Brianne Van Horn, Mandy Parma, Genie Ladshaw and Jessica Hildebrand. Mr. Dark retired from Rolls Royce in 1980. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Clade. He is survived by his sisters, Eva Jacob and her husband Marvin of Houston, and Ruth Myers of Billings, Mon.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Thursday May 5, 1994, at I p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas with Rev. David Evans officiating. Heights Funeral Home Gladys Peres Gladys Perez, age 64, of San Antonio, died Tuesday May 3,1994. Mrs. Perez was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Survivors: husband, Jorge Robert; sons Trinidad Perez Jr., Michael Ray Perez, Mario Roland Perez and wife Rosie, Luis Armando Perez and wife Pamela; daughters Sylvia Gladys Garza and husband Albert Garza IV, Margarita Perez, Rosario DeLeon and husband Rudy; 24 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Rosary will be recited Thursday May 5 at 7 p.m. in the Porter Loring Chapel. Procession Friday May 6 at 9:15 a.m. from Potter Loring. Mass 10:00 a.m. Friday at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
