Drinking Water Week in the Guadalupe River Basin was adopted by the Board of Directors of the GuadalupeBlanco River Authority GBRA at their meeting in Seguin on April Each year GBRA joins other water suppliers throughout the country in sponsoring activities to promote public awareness of the importance of clean drinking water and to encourage the conservation and protection of water resources The 1994 Drinking Water Week slo gan is Let it be Second and the official Blue Thumb is a reminder to safeguard water resources much the same way that a green thumb symbolizes the care we give to plants
