Homo lot nootfod Habitat for Humanity is seeking a lot or lots suitable for one or mote 1,100-squaxe-foot homes, preferably in the New Braunfels School District. The lot needs to have utilities. Ideally, someone in the local community would donate property on which a home or homes could be built. Another possibility is that a property owner will sell the property to HFH at a greatly reduced price. HFH is a non-profit organization, and donations are tax deductible. Contact Terry Burton at 629-4847 or A.D. Nuhn Jr. at 625-7005 for information. Po«try contest The Greater New Braunfels Arts Council is holding a poetry contest in celebration of Arts focus Month. Last year, 400 poems were submitted. Entries must be turned in by March 25. All poets residing within Comal County, or within the NBISD or CISD are invited to enter. Two poem maximum entry, minimum of tight lines oach on any subject and in any form except limerick. Contest is divided into four age groups — grades four and f|ve; grades six through tight; high school and adult. Judges will choose the top three poems in each group. Immunization clinics The Comal County Health Department is offering two satellite immunization clinics this month for the residents of Comal County who need immunizations for themselves or their children. Canyon High School will be the site on March 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Immunization clinics are also held each Tuesday and Thursday at the Health Department. Call 620-5595 for information. Election school The City Secretary's office will offer election schools for registered voters who are interested in serving their community as election judges and clerks. The schools will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15 and 16 at 7 pm at the Municipal Building, 424 South Casten Avenue, Conference Room AJB. Training will cover all necessary election procedures beginning with opening the polling place through delivery of the returns at the end of election day. To register, call 608-2100.
