Now in its fifth year, the shopping extravaganza is planned for Nov. 19, 20 and 21, with a preview shopping night on Nov. 18. New Braunfels, with its German Heritage, is the perfect place to have a Weihnachtsmarkt patterned after the old Christmas Markets of Germany Merchants would bring their wares to the center of town setting up in fxxtths for the towns people to make their selections. The atmosphere was one of excitement and anticipation and this wonderful spirit of holiday is recreated for you in the New' Braunfels Civic Center for three days each November to make your Christmas shopping a pleasant experience and to contribute to the support of the Sophicnburg Muse- Restaurant Reports Looking back This phot was taken inside the PK Cafe and is one of 300 appearing in the Sophienburg’s book, 'New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas: A Pictorial History.' Police Beat ■ Police investigated a report of shots fired that occurred at 1:50 a m. Oct. 30 in the IOO block of Linde. Reports show a Lorcin .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol was recovered at the scene. ■ New Braunfels police are investigating a burglary of a non-habitation that was reported to have occurred between Aug. I and Oct. 30 at the intersection of Churchill Street and Loop 337. Reports show the following items were reported stolen: a 19-inch color television; a black steamer trunk with photos inside; a gray vinyl suitcase with miscellaneous clothing; a wicker truck w ith a brass latch and Dacwood video cassette recorder. Estimated value of the items is S585. ■ Police arc also investigating a burglary of a motor vehicle that is reported to have occurred between I p.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 600 block of Highway 81. The following items were reported stolen: a Motorola mobile phone with batteries and accessories; a back pack, men’s shoes, men’s shirts and an airline ticket. The car involved was a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am. ■ According to reports, an incident of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle occurred between 6 p m. and 10:13 p m Oct. 29 Sheriff’s Report Reports show a 1989 white Buick Lcsabrc was stolen from Milt Ferguson Motor Company. Estimated value is S7.195. ■ Reports show a 1982 Chevrolet Camara was reported stolen from New Braunfels Motor Company. Reports show the car was stolen between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 and 7:45 a m. Oct. 29. The vehicle was recovered in the parking lot of New Braunfels High School. The steering column had been damaged. ■ According to reports, an incident of unauthorized use of motor vehicle was reported to have occurred at 11:30 p.m. Nov. I in the 500 block of Dit-tlingcr. Reports show a 1993 green Ford Ranger pickup was stolen. ■ A burglary of a motor vehicle was reported to have occurcd between 2 p m and IO p.m. Oct. 30 in the 600 block of Landa Street. Reports show a driver’s license and down jacket were reported stolen from a 1983 AMG Concord. ■ A burglary of a non-habitation was reported to have occurred between I p m and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 300 block of W. San Antonio. Reports show the following items were reported stolen: a maple bcdrmrn suite, a desk chair and Singer sewing machine Estimated value of the items is S2.050 Anyone with information regarding these offenses should call the New' Braunfels Police Department at 608-2179 or Crime Stoppers at 620-TIPS or 1-800-640-8422. Crime Stoppers will pay up to SI,OOO for information leading to the arrest and indictment of any person involved in a felony offense. Reports show, more than S7.500 in miscellaneous items were taken from the location The case is being investigated by Dep Carl Davis. ■ Deputies are investigating a burglary of a habitation that occurred Oct. 29 in the 1400 block of Spring Wood in the Spring Branch area. According to reports, more than SI,700 in miscellaneous items was reported stolen. The case is being investigated by Deputy Clay Garland. ■ Deputies are investigating another burglary of a habitation that occurred Oct. 29 in the 2000 block of Elm Ridge in Bulverde. Reports show more than S9,000 in miscellaneous items were reported stolen. The case is being investigated by Deputy Eddy Tijerina ■ Deputies arrested Adolfo Rebol-loso, 33, of New Braunfels, on a warrant for motion to revoke probation for driving while intoxicated from the Comal County Court at Law. According to reports, Rebolloso was arrested at 8:30 p m Oct. 25 at the intersection of FM 482 and Interstate Highway 35. ■ Sheriff’s deputies arrested Theodore Kilgore, 28, of Jacob’s Creek Park on Bexar County warrant tor dangerous drugs. Reports show he w as arrested at 11 p.m. Nov. I at Jacob’s Creek Park by Deputy Matt Steele.
