To be named to the dean’s list, the junior was required to receive a grade-point average of 3.0 or better. This selection was H 611-wig’s fifth semester on the dean’s list. • •• Jessica Emily Poling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Poling of New Braunfels, a sophomore at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, is included on the recently released undergraduate honor roll for the fall 1992 semester. To be listed on the SMU honor roll, students must achieve a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average or higher, which places them in the top 13 percent of all SMU undergraduates. • • • U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Adrian Casarez has successfully graduated from the Marine Corps Engineer School at Camp Le Jeune, N.C. under the Utilities Instructional Company. He is also a finalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars competition. She will attend Texas A&M University in the fall and has been awarded a Presidential Endowed Scholarship. He has been an active member of the Comal County 4-H for nine years and was the first puppy-walker for the Guide Dog Foundation of the Southwest and is now on his third puppy. Selection of finalists and recipients for the Josten’s competition is based on outstanding achievements in school and community activities, leadership experience and academic excellence. Czelusta is one of 1,000 finalists of the 3,700 who originally applied.
