Nancy Rios daughter of Rudy and Irene Rios, is an eighth-grader at Canyon Middle School. She is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, volleyball and basketball. She enjoys drawing, painting and movies with friends. Michael Charles Mechler, son Michael C. and Vickie L. Mechler, is an eighth grader at Canyon Middle School. He is active in football, track, soccer anc! athletics. Feliciana Flores, daughter of Ignacio arni Reliecca Flores, is an eighth grader at New Braunfels Middle School. She is active in the National Junior Honor Society and the CYD at Holy Family Catholic Church, she enjoys reading, baseball, shopping, television, music and collecting glass Figurines. Michael Jonathan Flavin, son of John E. and Angelito Flavin, is an eight grader at New Braunfels Middle School. He is active in football, basketball, baseball, track and as a board me in lier of the I»o Club. Marisol Foley Cortez, daughter of Ann and Carlos Cortez, is an eight-grader at Smithson Valley Middle School. She is active in University Interscholastic League, National Junior Honor Society and band. She enjoys piano and band. Bailey Drew Henderson, son of John and Kay Henderson, is a senior at Canyon High School. He is active in Varsity football, as president of the Canyon Future Farmers of America, vice president of the Latin Club, treasurer of the Leo Club and attended Texas American Legion Boy’s State. He enjoys showing steers and hogs, and playing all sports. Jonelle E. Elrod, daughter of Anna Garth Clark, is a senior at Canyon High School. She is active in National Honor Society, as vice president of the Student Council, in Spanish Club, Varsity cheerleader, and class president for 1992-92. Bonni Sue Chaffe, daughter of Carol and Tom Chaffe, is a senior at New Braunfels High School. She is active in volleyball, track, won Miss Physical Fitness and Most Ticket sales in the Young Woman of the Year Pageant, and voted Best Personality for the Senior Class of 1993. She enjoys dancing, water skiing, camping and horse back riding. Christopher Jaye Garza, son do Peter and Joannie Garza, is a senior at New Braunfels High School. He was elected to the House of Representatives at the Lorenzo de Zavala Leadership Conference, participant in the Collegiate World Series, city delegate at Boy’s State, Academic All-District twice for football and twice for baseball, a member of the National Honor Society, Senior Mexican-American Club member, Fellowship of Christina Athletes, Rotary Interact member, Spanish Club, Future Homemakers of America, Art Club, and Sts. Peter and Paul Church Youth Choir and Youth Leadership Board. He enjoys football card collecting, hunting, baseball and pool. Norman Anthony Urbick Jr., son of Eileen Blaney Voss, is a senior at Smithson Valley High School. He is active in the Academic Decathlon, football, band, Spanish Club, Ecology Club, Science Club, Boy’s State, University Interscholastic League math and science, National Honor Society, Catholic Youth Organization. He enjoys drawing, reading, lifting weights, writing poetry, working part-time and music. Heather Lee Boss, daughter of Russell and Suzi Boss, is a senior at Smithson Valley High School. She is active in the National Honor Society, French Club, Girls Athletic Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Varsity Cross Country, Varsity basketball, Who’s Who Among American High School Students, Student Council, 1992-93 SVHS Project Graduation chairwoman. She enjoys writing poetry, and design ing and painting clothes.
