New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - April 4, 1993, New Braunfels, Texas ObituariesJuan Pedro Perez Services with military honors for Juan Pedro Perez, 70, of Fort Worth will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 5 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New Braunfels with the Rev. Jim Burnie officiating. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Mr. Perez died Thursday in Fort Worth. Mr. Perez was born May 13, 1922 in Austin to Martin and Teresa Garcia Perez. He was a retired radio announcer, and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He served in the military during Worldwar ll. Survivors are two sisters, Guadalupe P. Guerrero of New Braunfels, and Sofia Perez of New Braunfels; two brothers, Jesus Perez and Ruben Perez, both of New Braunfels; and several nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be Rogelio Rodriguez, Paulo Cantu, Jose Villarreal, Henry Munoz, Manuel Zamora and Jesse Gomez. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday night In the Morales Chapel. Morales Funeral HomeChester Lee L. Pape Services for Chester Lee L. Pape, 67, of New Braunfels will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home with the Rev. Elmer H. Gumper officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Valley Cemetery. Mr. Pape died Thursday at Colo nial Manor Care Center. Mr. Pape was born Aug. 19, 1925 in Comal County to Martin and Norma L. Pape. He was a radio and television repairman at Mack’s TV Repair. Mr. Pape was a member of the First Protestant United Church of Christ. He was a lifetime member of the Freiheit Bowling Club, Fischer Store Bowling Club and Mission Valley Bowling Club. He was a member of the New Braunfels Volunteer Fire Department for 43 years and was secretary treasurer of Mountain Valley Cemetery Association for 20 years. He loved hunting and fishing. Survivors are his wife, Annie Pape of New Braunfels; his mother, Norma L. Pape of New Braunfels; three sons, Dennis W. Pape and wife Debbie L. of New Braunfels, Harold D. Pape and wife Rosemary of Laredo and Roger L. Pape and friend June of Mathis; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Gerald Pape of New Braunfels; four grandchildren, Chad W., Kristi A., Jamie R. and Stephanie L. Pape; two great-grandchildren, Skyler and Sierra, and numerous other relatives and friends. Martin officiating. Burial will be in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Mrs. Hanover died Friday at McKenna Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hanover was born July 2, 1922 in Lone Oak. She was a credit clerk at Sears in New Braunfels. Survivors are her husband, Sam W. Hanover; one daughter, Nancy Percival; three sons, Walter Hanover, Joe Hanover and Bobby Hanover; two sisters; one brother; 17 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. Welsch, 87, of New Braunfels will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 5 at First Protestant Church of Christ with the Rev. Peter Olsen and the Rev. Bob Keith of New Braunfels officiating. Burial will be in Comal Cemetery. Mr. Welsch died Thursday at McKenna Memorial Hospital. Mr. Welsch was born June 9, 1905 in New Braunfels to Charles W. and Ida Marie Welsch. On Jan. 1, 1928, he married Mary Hamilton, who preceded him in death on Sept. 5,1981. He was a member of the First Protestant United Church of Christ. He was a retired Comal County Justice of the Peace, after six years of service; and a former Comal County Judge for four years. He was a director for the Edwards Underground Water District for six years. Mr. Welsch served in the military during World War ll and the Korean Conflict. Survivors are one daughter, Nancy W. Johnson of New Braunfels; one son, C. Neil Welsch Sr. of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Irma Julia Schlueter of New Braunfels; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be mad to the Conservation Society, the Heritage Society, the Sophienburg Museum, First Protestant Church building fund or the charity of one’s choice.
