18008792621 The highlight of Texas Public Schools Week in New Braunfels and Comal County will be the eigthth annual Senior Prom for Senior Presented as a joint effort of the Comal and New Braunfels Independent School the prom is planned as a special evening for two groups of folks who rarely get to spend time together the young and the Waltz Across Texas is the theme for this years Admission is free for entertainment and The prom will be held March from 6 to 8 at Canyon High located at 1510IH 35 East in New Braun Live music for dancing will be provided by the Canyon High School Band under the direction of George The band will play two 45 minute sets of waltzes and dance music old and Entertainment between the two sets of dance music will be pro vided by members of the New Braunfels High School per forming under the direction of Bill Students from the New Braun fels High School Student Council will escort nursing home residents to and from the dance on school Free refreshments will be served by members of the New Braunfels Middle School and Canyon Middle School chapters of the National Junior Honor Soci The school commons will be decorated this year by Canyon High Schools Future Homemak ers of while the NBHS Student Council will man a purse and coat check New Braunfels High School will pro vide free instant photography of prom The Canyon High School Stu dent Councils members will be on hand as dance partners and to assist with cleanup after the Members of the New Braunfels ROTC will also attend to dance with senior citizens who do not have punch and coffee will be courtesy of the Canyon High School while buses will be provided by the NBISD trans portation Longtime New Braunfels radio personality Skoog will be emcee for the Requests for free group trans
