December 4, 1991 Page 9A Holiday music concert set Fishing string A line of fishermen take to the Comal River for the catch of the day. The .cool afternoons make for good fishing along the river banks. (Photo by Bill Ervin) The Mid-Texas Symphony will present a concert of holiday music Dec. 15 at 4 pjn. at the New Braunfels Civic Center. The concert will feature the Mid-Texas Symphony Chorus with the New Braunfels High School and Seguin High School choirs performing Vivaldi’s “Magnificat” along with traditional holiday carols. The rest of the program will include Bach's “Brandenburg Concerto No. 3,” Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival" and “Fantasia on Greensleeves” by Vaughn Williams. Maestro Akira Endo will conduct the orchestra. The Mid-Texas Symphony Chorus is being rehearsed by David Stevens of Austin. Tickets for this Christmas concert are $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and college students and $2 for students through high school. Tickets are available at First Choice and Rhoads Interiors in New Braunfels and will be available at the door the day of the concert. Call 629-0336 for more information.
