Roger Brinkkoeter, firefighter for the New Braunfels Fire Department, said the couple who own the RV were passing through town after filling their propane tank in Bandera. “During the mode of traveling over here, it developed a little more pressure, so they have safety valves that will allow the excess -gas to be released,” Brinkkoeter said. Some RV owners use propane for Seminars slated The Business Advisory Committee of the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Council has scheduled a series of three seminars in Honors Hall for local businesses. The fust seminar, scheduled for 8 a JU. and 10:30 ajn. Tuesday, Nov. 19, will address the problems of counterfeiting md shoplifting. Safe City Commission Director Mike Grist and Secret Service Agent Charlie Dyer will conduct the seminar, which will include an opportunity for participants to inspect the “new money.” The $5 fee includes coffee and doughnuts. Reservations may be made at the Chamber office. cooking, refrigeration or air conditioning. The gas was leaked for only a few seconds, but six firefighters and two New Braunfels police officers were called to the scene, at 931 U.S. 81 East, to cordon off the area and set up a fire hose in case the gas was somehow ignited. Pete Villareal, corporal patrol for the police department, said no store customers tried to drive out of the protected arca, but “they wouldn’t even be allowed to get near their cars.” The RV owners were allowed to drive to a nearby gas company to have the ruptured valve repaired. Brinkkoeter said the small leak had actually caused no potential danger, but “I’d rather see this (the safety precautions) than have several cars burning. American Ugfon Hall •It E.
