mandate a change in required immunizations for students in Comal as well as those in all public private and childcare On June the Texas Board of Health adopted the amended immuni zation requirements which stipulate all students who turn 12 years of or after must have a second measles immunization or evidence of measles immunity prior to their 12th Proofof this immunization must be provided for all students who are 12 Other required immunizations for arc Polio Three doses for all vvith at least one dose after the fourth Diphtheriatetanus Three doses or all with at least one dose after the fourth birthday and at least dose within the past 10 years Measles Two doses of administered at least 30 days are required for all Proof of the second dose will not be required until the childs 12th Rubella or mumps Vaccine is required for all students on or after the first A physicians validated history of rubella or mumps illness with a serologic confirmation immunity will be Tuberculosis Completion of at least one Tuberculin test on Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine All students under the age of five These immunizations may be ob tained from a private physician or at the County Health Comal County Nurse Shel Me Williams will be available to give immunizations to schoolage children every Tuesday from 9 to noon and 1 to 4 The Comal County Office of Health is located at 100
