Funded by a giant fioin die SWT University Lectures Committee, die symposium will exploie space as die last frontier and will also feature American Frontier historians, singers of stings from the American west and frontier arid exercise scientists. Thornton will speak on “The Importance of Science Education in the Training of an Astronaut.” Odier keynote speakers include Haul Carlson, Ph.D., associate professor of history at Texas Tech University, who will speak on “Spate Frontiers;” Wil liam G. Squires. Rh L).. professor of biology al Texas Lutheran College and a member of die NASA Exercise Countermeasures Project who will talk on “A Future View of Space Biology." Following lite symposium, a brown bag luncheon will be licld at die SWT Hill House featuring special guests, George Hoi den ion Sine) cr and Joe Smeyer singing songs and telling sui ries of the American west arid frontier.
