Homespun Early Childhood In a local program pro viding services to families of children with developmental has been selected to receive child safety seats from the Texas Depart ment of Highways and Public A limited number of infant and tod dler car seats is available to children and families enrolled in the Homespun program and others in the Texas law requires children less than 2 years old to be buckled in a child passenger safety seat when riding in a van or Children between the ages of 2 and 4 must ride either in a safety seat or be secured by a safety All front seal regardless of age arc required to be restrained by a safoty seat or seat When the Texas law took fewer then 30 percent of Texas parents were using safety seats for their In some the percentage was lower than 4 percent
