local school children and attracting the attention of officials at the San Antonio Knibbe said although she general ly doesnt care much for shes become quite fond of Sid and the twoheaded checkered garter snake she has cared for since watching then birth alxnil two mon ths ago I hope hes happy It try to make him Knibbe said while watching her little snake devour a wiggling little She found the oddity of nature by accident one day while in her in laws yard near hei home at Spring Branch When 1 saw this it scared I just she said about her en counter with a garter snake who was busy giving I would have killed her except she was having 1 couldnt kill her I I couldnt kill a she While watching the snake give she noticed the tiny two headed She said she knew it probably wouldnt live long on its so she picked it up and took it home Nature fascinates she adding that snakes had never been her favorite part of nature But when you actually see one being it becomes something special Theres a special connection svith As one might twoheaded snakes are quite rare When Knibbe called the San Antonio Zoo to find out about the animal and how to care for zoo officials said they would like to have Rut before Sid and go to the they or it or he or who knows i are making a tour of local schools in the Spring Smithson Valley and Bulvercie areas Knibbe said the snake is having a big time and kids get a kick out of seeing She even took the little creature to church with her so everyone would get a chance to see the natural oklit The two heads on the same little body seem to disagree quite a Knibbe said as the creature struggl ed around in a terrarium The first couple of weeks I had them both heads ate I would cut a worm in two and they would both eat But only the more dominant one The other one but when the dominant it she said Its a constant she ad pointing out that the snake takes off in one direction for a while then seems to turn back in another direction The struggle goes on
