water unless he in sists 1 do and I know hes not going to be fishing it that she acknowledging the fact that finding fish is a big part of any guides But Davenport doesnt have to rely upon other fishermen to find or catch She has all the ingredients of a successful fishing guide a good knowledge of the bass habits the structure and cover they prefer and how to approach It when and where to use the various types of lures pa tience perhaps most important she alreadv has received the backing of several manufacturers in cluding Mariner Motors and Quan tam rods and Lonnie Stanley of Stanley Higs also is one of her sup porters and she prefers either 15or 20pound test Berkley Big Game Im really enjoying she If its not I dont want to do And its really satisfying to see someone else catch As she Davenport let a plastic worm fall amid the thick limbs of a bush just off a narrow creek channel on upper Lake The worm never made it to the bot She felt the strike and set the A chunky bass that fell into Forks special 14to 18inch protected slot limit spun from the bush and quickly was lifted into the The fishing has really been tough here Davenport releas ing the Not just for me but for most
