friend in need Child abuse victims to get help from new program By LILLIAN THOMAS Staff writer Child abuse victims in Comal County will soon have someone in their corner as they go through the legal system meant to protect Members of the Child Welfare Board an nounced Friday the beginning of a child advocacy program County Attorney Bill Reimer wrote the articles of incorporation for Comal County Child Advocacy and received the corporations nonprofit status this Child advocates may be appointed by the court or the prosecutor in abuse cases and will acquire information from the Department of Human Resources prosecutor and the Advocates will then make a written report back to the authorities and testify in a friend of the court capacity in any A victims advocate will also accompany him to any appointments so that a single person will guide the child through the process and be there solely for the In County Attorney Bill Reimer announced that his office has bought Spiderman comic books
