only tax bill I getting is Comal Countys because its so Schumann told Commissioners Court at the late afternoon public I cant get over how low it Schumann ph but Schumann it may not always stay that remarked County Judge Max Well itll have to go a long way to catch up with the school districts tax Schumann Comal Commissioners Court is proposing a new tax rate of 23cents per This new tax which the court will set next is a 10 cent decrease over last years Although the actual tax rate proposed by the court is lower than last the court was legally required to hold Mondays public hearing to discuss a tax The reasons for the increase in taxes and this County Auditor Bate Bond explained is due to the difference in the appraised values from last year to this It also has to do with the computed tax rate from the County Tax Assessor which this year is Bond In order to meet the proposed 1983 the county is proposing a 23cent tax he The tax rate is not actually a 50 percent tax raise as the court was required to advertise therell be a 16 percent actual increase in dollars due to come into the Bond There is a 50 percent increase in the computed effective tax Bond But there only be a 16 percent increase in actual tax dollars coming into the he Property values listed on this years county tax rolls have gone up because the Central Appraisal District reassessed each parcel at fair market So
