for future years and possibly a new But it will take a bond issue to make the plans a Hendricks And Hendricks predicted a bond election would be called this Jessen Associates the Austin architectural firm hired by the district earlier this is currently reviewing plans recommended by the districts longrange planning Theyve looked at all the districts Hendricks Theyre working on scale drawings of all the schools and are looking at the longrange planning committees recom Hendricks expects the architects will appeal before the school board as early as next week to update trustees on their progress and to receive further At this point Hendricks said he did not have any idea how big a bond issue it would take to make the longrange planning committees recom mendations a But he did predict that such a bond issue would be held later this sometime between mid November and The main portion of the bond issue would probably go toward the construction of a new elementary school to be located somewhere southeast of IH In doing its the districts longrange planning committee predicted that within the next decade NBISDs student population will grow as much as 50 This much of an increase would require a new elementary the committee In the committee recom mended that a fine arts facility be built on the Middle School thus clearing out classrooms now used for fine arts related As for New Braunfels High the com mittee had a list of 14 suggestions which ranged from the recommendation that more classrooms be constructed to the building of a new vocational The committee also recommended
