Colleges from 11 different states competed in the event. As a result of its second- place California received a scholarship award that will be dispensed by its financial aid olfice. Cooperating with the college administration in the local clean-up effort were the student Greater California Area Chamber of Commerce and the CSC Alumni which is featuring a campus beautification campaign as its principal '75 project. The alumni sponsored Petroleum engineers to hear Ohio governor w. va. The eastern regional j meeting of the Society of Petroleum Engineers has Gov. James Rhodes of Ohio as its speaker here next Thur- sday Rhodes' topic is to be new gas supplies in this part of the according to a spokesman for the society's Appalachian Petroleum awards to various campus groups that gathered up the most litter. They went to Theta Delta first Kappa Delta second and Kappa Phi third place. John Gnagey is chairman oi the alumni campus beautification committee.
