THE NEW HOME DEMAND which has captured the imagination ni the entire country has been a welcome addition to the resurgence o industrial and economic growth of Indiana County during the past decade But the new home construction program has been moving at an even more brisk pace locally in the past several months Neither the dent of the recession nor the impact of the prolonged steel strike has dampened the home build ing plans of hundreds of Indiana Countians A recent survey by the Indiana Evening Gazette has indicated that more than 250 new homes have either been completed or started in the county since Jan 1 Local and county residents have poured into this construc tion boom ft THIS MAY BE ONLY the beginning the actual em bryo to an unprecedented home construction tidalwave What the Gazette was unable to learn in its survey is the intangible How many families today are sifting through home plans with a projected eye toward the build ing of their dream houses And how many families are keeping a conservative eye on their budgets inhopes of purchasing their new homes This in itself contains a vital link between the current construction pace and what the area may expect if
