died peaceful ly Wednesday surrounded by his family Born In 1930 John was the son of the late Harold and Gertrude Hagen and brother of the late David Af ter serving In the Korean War In the United States Navy John graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1958 John then studied medicine at State University of New York College of Medicine In Syracuse He was a profes sor and practicing obstetri at SUNY Health Science Center at Syra cuse until his retirement in 1995 In addition to teaching John spent 22 years providing health care at YMED John en joyed fishing at Skaneateles and was an active
