appoint ment of Dwight McCormick who retired recently from the Associ ated Press in Des Moines as public relations director for the Demo cratic State Central Committee of Iowa McCormicks appointment was made effective immediately He has had many years of experience with the newsgathering organiza tion both in Iowa and Nebraska He represented the Associated Press at the Iowa Statehouse and in legislative coverage for 15 years In recent years prior to his retirement last Aug 31 he had been photo editor for the Associ ated Press in Des Moines Working under the direction of Chairman Rasmussen
