Thick Fog 174 Are on Injured List LONDON M Rescue teams Thursday night removed the last bodies from the wreckage of a dis astrous twotrain pileup and fixed the immediate death toll at 84 Another 174 persons were in jured 107 seriously in the crash Wednesday night of two trains jammed with Londoncommuters and Christmas shoppers police said Authorities had feared from 20 to 30 bodies would be found in a coach smashed by the collision and then crushed by the heavy girders of a damaged viaduct that fell atop the wreckage Found Empty But rescue crews exhausted af ter nearly 24 hours of ceaseless work Ln the twisted metal and bat tered woodwork broke through the paneling of the coach anc found it empty Tarpaulin screens were erected along roadways overlooking the scene in southeast London to hide the wreckage from passlrig motor ists and the curious Horrible as thewreck was it just missed being even worse for a third train almost was involved An 11coach steam train drove into the rear of a 10coach electric halted near St Johns Sta tion Theimpact shot cars into the air and brought down part oi an overhead viaduct which car ried another electric rail line 2000 Aboard An eightcoach electric train above was left with the front wheels of its engine hanging over the edge Salvage teams early Thursday finally removed the train above The two wrecked trains were carrying about 2000 commuters and Christmas shoppers Trains were not operating on schedule because of the thickest fog in recent years which envel oped Britain and parts of the con tinent for two days The disar ranged timetable and lack of vis ibility were blamed by some for the wreck but railway officials declined to speculate before a full inquiry 30000 Pounds of Unmarked Oleo Is Seized in Iowa DES MOINES agri culture officials have refused to allow 30000 pounds of oleomar garine stored in the state to be distributed because it isnt prop erly marked The Iowa Department of Agri culture officials impounded operator of the Moo berry Cabins here was killed in stantly Wednesday night whence drove into a concrete bridge abutment on Highway 14 if miles south of Roseville Moobcrry was alone in his car ind it ex plosion believed caused by a faul ty gas heater wrecked four stores Thursday killing at least eigh persons and trapping an unknown number in the wreckage A policeman said there may have been as many as 40 to 5 persons in the stores when the explosion came Twenty persons were taken to a hospital with burns Some were reported badlj injured The blast wrecked a drug store a tencent store a jewelry store and a dress shop Bill Berry own er of the drug store where the explosion occurred about 11 am said two men working on a fault gas heater at thetime were miss ing He identified them as 0 T Dyer and hisf son Johnny wife waS Body Recovered The body ofpr Jack Burnhani who had an office over the store was recovered Two pa tients in his office had not been found A wall of the drug store unities were rushed to th scene along with rescue squad from several nearby towns Rescue Squads National Guard rescue squads and 30 prisoners from a work camp joined in aiding the injurec and removing the bodies The identified dead included Os car Hixon a gas company super visor Ray Dodson city clerk of this town of 1700 was in his office in he city hall a block away when the explosion came He said
