government im mediately provide those prices arbitrary action Through Fixed Bid I respectfully suggest that thi end might be achieved without fur ther delay either by pegging prices or through a fixed government bio on major farm prices with reser vation for future advances of such bids Would not such executive ac tion rectify this price discrimination and restore to the farmer a price representing cost of production plus a fair profit and immediately add his great purchasing power to the heroic efforts now under way to re vive trade generally In connection with this sugges tion for a fixed government bid on major farm products the governor explained that reservation for fu ture advances of such bids would permit price raises when necessary so that farm products would keep pace In price
