South avenue andSeventh street with plans to double the size of the structure by an additionwon the south side was announced Tuesday by Thomas F Cain manager of the Mason City Bottling coVnpahy The Mason City Candy company building shown in the accompany ing picture was owned by the Day ton Building company and was at one time occupied by the Mason City Candy company It is 30 by 132 feet in size With the addition which Mr Cain contemplates structure will have a 60 foot front age on Federal avenue Mr Cain plans to erect this addi tion of concrete and reinforced steel as well as to remodel the church the Rev Oswald E G Mail in charge Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery Mary Helen Clausen was born Oct 15 1887 in Germany Seven teen years ago she came to the United States Before coming to Mason Hartford The annual meeting of the North Iowa Area Boy Scout council will be held Friday evening Jan 10 in the main dining room of the Han ford it wa sannounced at the local office Tuesday According to Dr B Raymond Weston president of the council it is believed that this years meeting will be attended by more represen tatives of the institutions organi zations and communities sponsoring troops than ever before Thirtyfive towns in nine counties make up the Worth Iowa Area council and the meeting is open to all troop com mitteemen community scout ccm mitteemen merit badge counselors executive board members scout masters and assistant scoutmasters and their wives The Rev John Clinton of Fayette known thruoutthis district as a speaker of unusual ability will give the maia address at the
