Soviet Leaders NEW YORK July 5 New York Times says today that a group of American communist lead ers are feeing detained in Moscow1 under orders of the communist in ternational Among them are Ben Gitlow for mer socialist member of the New York assembly Bertram D Wolfe and John Pepper Hungarian aide of Bela Run They were called to Moscow to discuss factional troubles in the American communistparty and are expected to remain there a year or until the factional elements in the American party have been reccn cied Jay Lovestone who until recently was head of the party in this coun try and was known as the Amer ican stalin defied the aetentioivor der and escaped to this country He fled after interception of a cable message to his adherents here instructing them to seize the Gross Farm Values for Minnesota Livestock Increases ST PAUL July 5 gross farm value of livestock in cluding cattle twoyears old and over horses colts mules sheep anri hogj as of January last showed an increase of over the gross value for thesame date in 1928 according report made public today by Paul H Kirk fed eralstate agricultural statistician For the beginning of this yetvr the estimated total
