thru out the United States nearly 900000 other Boy Scouts and over 100000 leaders will perform a similar act The double header basketball game to be held in the high school gym Fri day evening will be stopped promptly at in order to give all scouts and leaders among the spectators and scouts In the basketball teams an op Jportunity with their fellowscouts ThirtySlX Members and thruout the country to repledge them 1 selves to the scout oath Basketball games will bo stopped all over the North Iowa council by arrangement Leaders Have Banquet Program One of the most Impressive Boy Scout troop reunions that has ever been held in Mason City officially opened anniversary week Wednesday evening wlien 36 members and leaders of Ola Troop 15 gathered at the I O O P dining room Practically every Boy Scout in the troop la a vet eran having served live or more years a number of them being stu dents in college and a number out of school Qhe banqiet had been arranged by C IT Stevens chairman of the troop Jii committee and Halph SUxnbery n member of the committee Served Five Guests whcT had boen connected with the troop during its interesting his Shart Morgan Harry Wright J C Wilson and ISrdix Swift Mr Swift has served over live years the troop as Its scoutmaster The troop will register for the new year this month and at the sugges tions of Ralph Stanberythe members decided that the old troop should become a permanent organization and that once a year a reunion should be held which would include every scout and leader who had belonged to the troop Opened With Pledge The banquet opened with the ro pletlge of all those present to the scoxjt oath and after the banquet Mr Stan bery reviewed the history of the troop He spoke of the many times that the troop hart met under the leadership of isitlls Swift and t he troop committee Mr Stanbcry stressed the importance of a pormaj ncnt organization in the troop ana the importance of the friendships formed in the troop under the guidinp star of the scout oath Brief remarks were given by Execu tive J C Underwood Deputy Com missloner Charles R Crumb was a guest of the evening Following the banquet the entire troop adjourned to Clear Lake where the members enjoyed an evening of skiing and tobogganing with school men and coaches Scouts to Repledge Oath Thursday Night at Basketball Game Twelve hundred Boy Scouts In the Vorth Thursday made the announcement that there would bo no refunds for the licenses on junkeu cars The law provides that refunds may he made on the license of an automo bilewhich Is destroyed by fire or ac cident which Is stolen nnd not recov ered by the owner before the expira tion of the registration period for which the fee was pnld or which if sold and continuously used beyond thv bounderles ot the
