testimony today from station operators resisting the order to Rive up their licenses on Aug 1 The docket at cases waa completed up to July 20 A number of stations were ready with consolidation plans The commissions ruling that all statements and petitions introduced must be sworn to resulted in requests lor postponement from somo stations which had not prepared their written irguments in Lutheran missionary In China gave an effective presentation of mission work and the life and hab its of the Chinese at the Trinity Lutheran church Monday evening The speal the work of the Lutheran Miller of Sioux City Conducts Second Inspection Capt Fred W Miller D O of Sioux City conducted a reInspec tion of Company H 133d Infantry at the armory Monday evening This was done pursuant to orders from the war department and was necessary be cause of some deficiencies noted at the regular annual federal inspection held last March These deficiencies were due in a large measure to the fact that the organization had been without junior officers for some time The Inspecting officer Monday eve ning found the state of training and condition ot equipment of the com pany to be highly satisfactory He commended Captain J B MacGregor and the other officers and noncom missioned officers of the company on tha marked progress the organization has made in the past four months Other outoftown officers present at Inspection were Moj Howard J Rouse of Waterloo regimental ma chine gun and howitzer officer and Capt C H Van Meter of regimental chaplain SPEEDING NUPTIALS Izaak Waltonites Back International Playground to Be Located in Big Park WATERLOO July international playground ot nearlj square miles Is being backed by the Izaak Walton league according to A C WHIford of Waterloo president of the state organization The site would include the present Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota and the Quetico Provisional forest in southern Ontario Wlllford said The proposed site constitutes the drainage basin ot the Rainy river which flows into the Hudson bay and Is truly north country with innum merable lakes great pine forests and a wealth ot wild life According to Willford It would be possible for a canoeist to travel in the region for ten summers without dup licating his route Superior forest on tha American side ot the boundary is one of the best known forests In this country and is visited annually by thousands of canoeists The park Is within IS hours by rail of Chicago Salvation Army Will Provide Free Dental Attention for Poor DBS MOINES July naw Moines city railway company unless the company pays debts amounting to within three days was signed today by Judge Martin J Wade in federal district court here The company has been n receiver ship for more than six months Judge Wade appointed E J Kelly an attorney as special master In chancey to conduct the sale The Jurl iclnj order followed the filing of a fl nanclal report by the receivers
