Should the council act favorably oji Fire Chief Jesse Hunter's recommendat- ion that two of the city's fire stations now in oper- ation be closed, the number of empty fire stat- ions in the city will rise to three, counting the spanking new fire station built in Cedar Hills and remaining unmanned. It may be a world'.s record, but even if it isn't, the problem remains of.what to do with at least two buildings, designed and built to house fire engines and firemen and soon to be empty.
