   Cedar Rapids Gazette (Newspaper) - May 26, 1974, Cedar Rapids, Iowa                                 Jefferson Graduation for 459 Tuesday  The 1974 graduates of Jefferson high school will receive their diplomas in an 8 p.m. ceremony Tuesday at Kingston stadium.  Craig H. Currie, superintendent of the Cedar Rapids Community school district, will deliver the charge to the classes.  Presenting diplomas to the 459 graduates will be school board members Robert Barber, II. Edward Beatty, Lauree Gerber, Norman Lipsky, Ronald Moore and Steve Sovern.  In case of rain, the ceremony will be held in the Jefferson gymnasium.  Named valedictorians for the class were Sharon Cross, Jackie King and Kevin Opheim.  Salutatorians are Sheryl Zacek and Diane Wilson. More than one student was chosen for each honor because of the small difference among their grade point averages.
