Vern chief of school food service in the Iowa department of public instruc- tion, will open the convention with a "braindusting" session Friday at 3 p.m. at the coli- seum. State Superintendent Robert D. Benton and Tom Smith of Brenlon Banks in Marshalltown will be principal speakers at the banquet Friday at 7 p.m. at the Roosevelt. Marjorio Akers of! Cedar Rapids, former associa tion president, will install the new officers. Friday morning and afternoon activities include officer train Ing, meeting of the house dele- gates and exhibits. The Saturday morning pro- gram includes a "Carousel o Ideas" and a panel discussion and demonstration entitled, "Capsules of A "Conversation and Calories' luncheon will conclude the con- vention Saturday noon with Dr. John Ferryman of Denver, Colo., executive director of the ASFSA, speaking. Loretta Brust of Mason City is the ISFA president. Other "of- ficers are: Alfreda Jacobson Perry, president-elect; Velma Hirst, Des Moines, secretary, and Esther Benden, Cedar Rapids, treasurer. Memorial Set By Bar Assn. Memorial services for nine members of the Linn County Bar Association who have died since 1969 will be held at the county courthouse Friday at p.m. Friends of the deceased and members of the bar association will deliver eulogies at the cere- mony. Among those to be honored are: Former Judge J. Paul Naugh- ton and former Attorneys F. E. Corey, Charles Hastings, J. J. Hronek, Frank Hronek, Loren Hullinger, sr., T. M.
