Drugs, dec I in ed and gold shares advanced. Gains and losses of key stocks went from fractions to about'a point. Tobaccos and a few other stocks showed sleeper losses. "American Tobacco and.Lig- gbtt' Myers were down each. Reynolds To bacco was off around 2 while Lorillard dropped more than a- pfjln.t. The slide in tobaccos was connected with a magazine article, quoting the director ol Cancer Institute S, P.ublic Health Service linking lung cancer with smoking. v GOLD STOCKS continued on the advance in th price gold in the London bullion market.
