   Daily Courant (Newspaper) - February 27, 1730, London, Middlesex                                The Daily Cpurant. Friday, February 27, 1729-30. Teflerday arrived the Mail due from France, and three from Flanders. Aifo in the Even-in came in the Mail due ftorn Holland. Mofcow, Feb. i. N. S. ON the 17th of January, the Czar, accompany'd by the Princefs Dol-gorucki, the Foreign Minifters, and Lords of his Court went with a Train of above 500 Sledges, to'Jovoroff, about fix Wurfts  (5 Englifh Miles) from hence, where they had a great Huntings Match, and kill'd above 300 Game of one fort or other.   Upon his Return, his Czarian Majefty found himfelf very fainr, with a violent Pain in his Head ; it.fomuch that he was ob� Jed to goto bed.   The next day, the Small Pox  appeared   upon him,  and came out fo well, that on the 26th, the Physicians of the Court pronounced him to be oat of Danger; but the Night following he was feized with fuch a violent Fever and Delirium, that that Prince died in the Night between the 29th and 30th, at half an Hour paft Twelve, aged 14 Years, 3 Months, and 7 Days, being born the 23d of Oct. 1715. He  was proclaim'd Czar and Sovereign of Mufcovy and of all Ruflia the 18th of May, 1727, purfuant to the laft Will of the Czarina Katherine, fecond Wife to the Czar Peter I. his Grandfather, who died the day before.   He was betrothed the 6th of June the fame Year ro Mary Alexandrewna, eldeft Daughter of Prince Menzikof, his Prime Minifter; but the Council of Regency, jealous of that Minifter's too great Authority, determin'd the Czar to arreft him the 19th of Seprcmber following, and to banilh him and bis Daughter to a Forrrels in Siberia. About the beginning of the Year 1718, the Czar went from Petersburg to Mofcow, the Capital of his Dominions, where having made his Entry the 15th of February the fame Year, he was  crown'd the 7th of March  following.    The Princefs Natalia Alexiowna, his only Sifter, for whom be had a very great Affection, died there the 2d of December following, in the 15 th Year of her Age., They were the only two furviving Children of Alexis Petrowitz, Czarowitz, only Son of the Czar Peter I. who died in Difgrace with his Father the 26th of July, 1718, aged about 29 Years, and of Char-lotte-Clmftina Sophia,   of  Brunfwic-Wol-femburrel, the Emprefs's Sifter, who died at Petersburg the iftof November 1715, aged n\ Years.   The Czar Peter II.  juft now dead, was betrothed  for the fecond tjtne, the  nth of December laft, to Katherine Alexiewna, eldeft Daughter,' of Alexis Gre-gorcwirz, Prince Dolgorucki, Minifter and Counfellor of State, Great Mafter of the Court, and Knight of the Order of St. Andrew, who was his Czarian Majefty's Governor. The Moment the Czar was dead, the Members of the Council and Field-Marfhals be-ing"hfiet in the Palace, and having fummon'd t'he Senate and Generals, the Princefs Anne Jwanowna, Dutchefs-Dowager of Courland, was, - with one Confenr, acknowledged Sovereign of all Ruflia ;  and fhe was pro--claim'd Czarina about Ten o" Clock in the Morning, at rhe Head of-'he Troops, with .Ringing of Bells and Firing of Cannon. This Princefs, who was born in 1693, is the fecond Daughter of the Czar John Alcxiowitz, elder Brother of the Czar Peter I. who reigned with him till the 31ft of January 1696, when he died, leaving, by Profcovia-Fede- rowna Soltikow, his Wife, three Daughters ftill living, namely, Katherine, marry'd April 19. 1716, to Charles-Leopold, Duke of Mecklemburg-Swerin; Anne, now proclaim'd Czarina, marry'd Nov. 13. 171 o, to Frederick-William, Duke of Courland, whofe Widow {he has been ever fince the 21ft of January, 1711; and Pro'fcovia, born in 1695, who is retired into a Convenr. VerfaiHes, March x. N. S. On the 25 th paft, the King and Queen return'd hither from the Caftle of Marli. The Rye Galley Man o� War, and the two Eaft India Ships are ftill here. Came down, this Day the Neptune*" Wilfon, for Leghorn ; the George and Ehr zabeth, Borton/ for Virginia; the Happy, Rebecca, Majors for Portfrnoutb-.
