Civil Aeronautics Board notified Monday its operations would be suspend ed Nov 2128 unless the airline provides a good reason for two Nov 8 flights in violation of Federal Aviation Administra tion regulations Unless convinced other wise we intend to implement our decision to temporarily suspend permit authority the CAB said But a spokesman for the Soviet Embassy said There were no intention of overflights made by our Aeroflot planes The allega tions that the deviations were deliberate we think they are factually inaccurate The point is that our planes followed the rules suggested to us by the Federal Aviation Administration But there seems to be a certain misunderstanding about the routes approved by the FAA and which are approved by the State Department he said The spokesman said the the schools By PEG KURD American Education Week which began yesterday has as its goal the establishment of a partnership between the com munity and its schools In the Tyrone Area School District this is nothing new We have been trying to get area citizens involved in our school program for many years said TAHS Principal Neil Smith The elementary schools are encouraging adults to visit classrooms and share their hobbies and experiences with the students and many of our high school students are getting practical experience through the cooperation of local business and industry Vocational Director Robert credits members of vocational advisory committees in the trades business agriculture home economics and distributive education with the success of a program which helps students in career choices The program is called shadowing said Westley The vocational advisory committees send to area employers asking them to accept the services of one of our students for one week During that week the student works with an employee of the company discovering just what its like to have a job in that particular field The program has had rave notices from both students and employers EMPLOYERS COMMENT Typical employer com ments were student was very much interested in our type of work School students we have hired in the past have been fine employees and the high school has a fine training program for business students This program could develop into something very wor The student gets to see the real work day the pleasant points and the unpleasant ones student was very eager to help at the district at request and they are mainly financial records covering the years 1967 to 1976 They did not appear to have been at the dump and ex posed to the elements for a long time Archer said He said the district at office has agreed with borough officials that an investigation should be conducted Hopefully it will deter mine who had the material in their possession who disposed of it when it was left there the dump and why Archer said adding no one was even aware the records were miss ing until the find was reported to state police by a man who said he was looking for bottles in the dump Archer said he hopes that Found Dead At Age 63 Autopsy Performed Today On Actor William Holden HOLLYWOOD UPI Ac tor William Holden whose roles in more than 50 motion pictures included an Oscar winning per in Stalag 17 was discovered dead in his apart ment Monday Authorities say the actor may have been dead for a week An autopsy was planned today to determine the cause of death and to positively iden William Holden the decomposed body found alongside a bed in Holdens Santa Monica apart ment Police said his death ap to be from natural causes Were carrying the body as a John Doe a coroners depu ty said late Monday The body is so badly decomposed there is no way to identify him We will have to use den tal charts for identification Police said however that Holdens agent E Richard Comstock positively iden him at the scene The actor was President Reagans best man at his 1952 wedding to Nancy Davis and the president expressed a great sense of personal loss upon hearing of Holdens parttime resi STUDENTS APPROVE Positive comments from the students included Bellwood Council Hears About Budget Ambulance New Force By Dale Bellwood Borough Council worked last night to establish tentative 1982 budget figures to submit to its auditor for con sideration At this time it looks like the water and sewer budget will be reduced from the 1981 figure with no rate increase councilmen predicted Jack Hite of Gwin Dobson and Foreman working with the water com told council he expected the 1982 water budget would indicate a fairly good surplus with maintenance becoming a greater concern One of the maintenance items included in the new budget is the purchase of a flow meter at a cost that will be determined by bids The boroughs current flow meter has been faulty for several months not providing the borough with an accurate measurement of water used Hite said that the budget will include money needed for materials and which in the past have been neglected The figures being discussed for the sewer budget are also less than last year and no rate increase is planned The budget will be discussed for approval at the regular council meeting in December HUD Council approved a plan to apply for a change in the status of the boroughs Housing and Urban Development program George Closson Block Grant Administrator said the borough would benefit by submitting immediately a proposal to create eight apartments in the North Side of town with the grant money previously allocated for renovation of the Myers Elementary School Because of the new elementary school project fell through the old school is not available for conversion to apartments In order for the borough to retain the grant the new apartment idea was approved The change in the applications still must be approved by HUD Closson said POLICE Chief of Police Greg Ciaccio introduced the new borough police force to council last night and said they are doing a good job and assuming individual roles
