After you log in and do a search you will be presented with the option to choose the viewer you want to use. If you do not want to try the new viewer, please click on the Original Pdf Viewer link.
Note: This screen will show every time until you click the Remember Selection box.
The first thing you will see after the newspaper loads is a magnifying glass highlighting your search term. For example, the search term here was "Vietnam"
Clicking on the magnifying glass enables you to move it around with your mouse or you can use the arrow buttons to move to the next instance of your search term as shown here:
The toolbar is located along the top of the page and will disappear if you do not use it for 10 seconds. To show the toolbar, simply move your mouse to the top of the page.
If you hover over the icons a caption will open with a short description describing its function.
The screen along the bottom of the page highlights which page you are on; mousing over it will indicate the page numbers.

Save
You will be presented with several options regarding what to save and where:
Clip Tool
When the clip tool first comes up it will be in a shape depending on the number of corner points you choose. The example below uses 6 points:
Click on the red dots to move them around and highlight the article you would like to save or share:
Top Search Result
This icon will bring up a list of your search results broken down by yearscenturies until 1900 which then breaks it down by decades. This should help you narrow your search.
