TO STUDENTS CASE The case of Swift Tarbell the ton student who it Is alleged was struck down at Monmouth Junction by Innkeeper Arthur Mount will be taken up by the Middlesex grand jury Wed The story of the assault as told by Tarbell and his two compan Ions Philip M Brasher of Brooklyn and N J McCutcheon of Greenwich Conn is that they stopped at Mount s place and fed their horse One of the students secured a piece of blanket at the stable to put under his saddle and when Mount saw it an altercation arose One of the students struck Mount who it is claimed picked up a wagon spoke and away from the house It wag 300 by 150 foot and twi high AWFUL OF EXPLOSION The awful force of the n rip led the boiler room and djt h use to pieces and for a brief minute the air wis filled with flying Joists tin bits f machinery and escaping One end of the boiler a huge of weighing many hundred pounds w is hurled the other debris and crashed to the ground fh e hundred feet away five machines in the dye house were Ruined and the end f the mill proper was crushed in by the mighty impact The roar of the eion was heard for miles and of people hurried to the riw Bulkhead engineer at the plant had just started for the mill and he was one of the Irst to reach the place His first thought wis of the night watchman and word was passed that Stuky There was a sudden burst of flame as the greasy woodwork caught fire from the boiler box and without delay a party was formed to get Stuky from the wrecked building He was found with his head crushed and half covered with timbers a few feet from where the boiler had been His features were scarcely and he died soon after the work ers reached hla Dr E N Adams v ho had been summoned was unable to do anything for him The Beverly department was upon the scene and succeeded In subduing the flames Coroner Wells viewed the body of Stuky and decided that an inquest should be held No date for this was selected about 55 years old and hid been In this morning in Central police court charged by Patrolman Meyers breaking and entering a grocery Store and a private house in East Tren ton last week for the purpose of bery The grocery Is on Klagg avenue and the youngsters are said to have stolen several cans of baked beans and peaches from there last Thursday afternoon The following afternoon It Is charged they forced entrance to the house of
