at his home in Mt tnis city His death will be a matter of no surprise to any one who knows the of the lust few of his For nearly a decade there has boon a decay of and physical powers which only a remarkable vitality has boen able to resist so long The end when it came was simply the flickering out of the last spark of vital life which had boon fading away 69 gradually the change from day to day was not perceptible It is fully ten years m the opinion of member of Mr Adams family since the of both mental and physical powers first manifested itself The breaking down of his splendid intellect was somewhat more rapid than the gi increase of physical feebleness but for a long time only those in associated with the venerable man were able to detect the mental Indeed until the very last Mr was a quiet dignified gentleman who simply took no interest in what was going on about him The intellectual collapse was however BO complete that for two years he has bcm to recognize any of
