Des Moines was Fred Kim ball of Waterloo editor of the Egg one of the well posted men of the State on the conditions of of the egg market In speaking of the fact that 14 cents a dozen had been agreed upon as the probable price of April eggs at the seaboard he said This price of 14 cents on eggs means for those in storage set down on the seaboard Most of the eggs used for this purpose are bought in the west and the State of Iowa furnishes as many us any other Now with that rate in the east it will mean that these eggs will bring 10 cents in Iowa of the store keeper which as you can see means that the farmer or the man that raises poultry will have to sell even cheaper than that However from the present outlook the supply will be greater this year than ever before and there will be a greater number of eggs in this state for sale than ever before so this may be attributed as one of the reasons for the lower price 1 would not be sur prised to see the price 10 cents by the middle of May REBUKES THE Hon Oliver W Stewart member of the election laws committee in the Illinois Legislature in reply to a pro test from Mrs Caroline F Corbin against the allowing taxpaying women the right of voting upon ques tions of taxation says I can understand why some women may not care to vote to thirty per cent of the men of Illinois who were entitled to the ballot did not use it at the last election What I can not understand is why women who do not care for the ballot themselves should object to its being granted to other women who do care for it 1 believe the granting of the ballot just
