suddenly April at his residence at 2130 W Street Beverly Hills He was seventy-three years and was born at Lisbon New Hampshire in 1852 He graduated from the Department of the University of Michigan in 1875 and from Law School in 1877 He came to Chicago in 1888 and for years was head of Hutchins Car Roofing Company and the ins Refrigerator Car Line He has been engaged in the Lumber business since 1903 being president of the Hutchins Lumber Storage Com- pany with general offices at the Great Northern Building 20 West Jackson Boulevard and yards and mills at Blue Island 111 He is survived by his wife Jennie Gould Hutchins his three sons Frederick E Hutchins Ralph Hutchins and Carleton B Hutchins He is also survived by his brother Harry B Hutchins president tus University of Michigan Mrs Rufus Fleming of Detroit widow of the late U S Consul Rufus Fleming of Edinburgh Scotland and Mrs Carrie H Worden also of Detroit He was a member of the Union League Club Ridge Club and the Loyal Legion
