Director of Board Both Unanimous For the fourth consecutive year M T member of tlie board of supervisors from the Fifth ward Stevens Point was elected chairman of the Portage county hoard at the opening of the full session at the court house this morning His election was unanimous There were no other nominations for the office O A Crowell of Almond village who has been vice-chairman each of the years Mr Mersch has presided as chairman was also unanimously reelected No other nominations were made j Dineen Succeeds Brady Charles Dineen town clerk of Vista and a leading figure in Tista government years has been chosen to take the place in the county board made vacant by the death of Charles Sr for twenty years the chairman The county board was notified of Mr election to fill the un- reverse side of the cards the various committee assignments adopted This suggestion was Ira Danks representing the Home and Aid Society of Wisconsin made a brief talk ing the work this society does an- in Wisconsin It has been tlie custom of the board in past years to make an appropriation to this organization Supervisor Frost of wood asked Mr Danks if the county paid the society for any aid it gave to the children Mr Danks replied that no charge was made to the county and Portage county never was charged any fee by the society for any work it had done in this county During past year Mr
