1892 o'clock A M The board of supervisors met pur suant to and was called to order by his honor the chairman The clerk called the roll all the mem bers present Minutes of last meeting read ant approved Petition from the town of Lanark To the chairman and board ol supervisors of the county of Portage Your petitioner respectfully sents that as the town of Lanark has numerous bridges to maintain and a rough hilly and stony country over which to build roads requiring large annual expenditure of money that during the past year the said town has levied and expended the sum of three hundred dollars over and above the usual highway labor tax wnich carefully and honestly plied has failed to place our roads in a safe and fore your petitioner respectfully ask that the sum of three hundred dollars be appropriated by this board to aid said town of Lanark in the repair and construction of the roads and bridges in said town Signed THOS MORGAN Chairman Supervisors Town of Lanark Portage County I hereby certify that at the last annual town meeting the fied electors of the town of Lanark voted to raise three hundred dollars to be expended on roads and bridges of said town which
