Canada Miss Dominion of Canada is scheduled to appear at several events during the 1971 Rose She will appear June 18 at at the Queen Pageant in the Rose On Saturday she will be at the Queens Luncheon at 12 in the parade 2 at the Dignitaries Reception in the Rose Garden at and at the All Iowa Drum Corps State Championship starting at 7 Her final will be June as she cuts the ribbon to officially open the Jaycees Tractor Miss Domin ion of is a blond haired young lady from Mississauga Since a distinguished panel of judges selected her as the most beautiful girl in she has been busy traveling throu ghout the and Miss an 18yearold professional enjoys ski ing and swimming and one day would like to have a career in food She has a younger brother and and was born in Miss Dominion of Canada represents Canada in the Miss Miss World and Miss International Pageants held annually in the England and The Miss Dominion of Canada Pageant has been held annually the past 12 years in Niagara Falls Town Coun meeting in special session June passed a Resolution of Necessity for curb and work on the north side of They also dis cussed the sewer and the letter of reply from the law firm representing the State Center Coop Creamery Councilman Yeager opened the discussion on the sewer when he suggested that the town hire an engineer to in the building of a new sewer treatment facility and the state and federal monies Yeager went on to say that he had understood that the State of at the meeting with town and cream ery officials in Des Moines some months told the town that the size of the rock in the filters was Mayor Goodman told him that the of Health had questioned the size of the rock and when the report from the Corning Engineering firm had been the rock was found to be of large enough Goodman had the Town Clerk a copy of the report for Councilman Severidt then asked where the town would get the money to hire an engin eer for the sewer At this Town Attorney Woods read a letter signed by George a Marshall town replying to a notice the town served on the creamery about a week The notice threatened to ter minate the sewer service If the town found anj evidence that the creamery was discharging any waste which would overload or harm the of the sewer treatment In the Hinshaw denied that the creamery was ing the sewer and said that the creamery would be happy to meet with the their at to try and resolve the The letter also noted that the town and the creamery had a contract and recommended the town not discontinue tha sewer The letter concluded that in the event
