Dignitaries Reception in the Rose Garden at and at the All Iowa Drum Corps State Championship starting at 7 Her final will be June as she cuts the ribbon to officially open the Jaycees Tractor Miss in special session June passed a Resolution of Necessity for curb and work on the north side of They also dis cussed the sewer and the letter of reply from the law firm representing the State Center Coop Creamery Councilman Yeager opened the discussion on the sewer when he suggested that the town hire an engineer to in the building of a new sewer treatment facility and the state and federal monies Yeager went on to say that he had understood that the State of at the meeting with town and cream ery officials in Des Moines some months told the town that the size of the rock in the filters was Mayor Goodman told him that the of Health had questioned the size of the rock and when the report from the Corning Engineering firm had been the rock was found to be of large enough Goodman had the Town Clerk a copy of the report for Councilman Severidt then asked where the town would get the money to hire an engin eer for the sewer At this Town Attorney Woods read a letter signed by George a Marshall town replying to a notice the town served on the creamery about a week The notice threatened to ter minate the sewer service If the town found anj evidence that the creamery was discharging any waste which would overload or harm the of the sewer treatment In the Hinshaw denied that the creamery was ing the sewer and said that the creamery would be happy to meet with the their at to try and resolve the The letter also noted that the town and the creamery had a contract and recommended the town not discontinue tha sewer The letter concluded that in the event the sewer service was the
