Moines Tuesday FOUR TEAMS IN FIRST ROUND WEDNESDAY NIGHT One Class A team and three Class B teams won their way into the next round of the Sectional bas tournament Wednesday night by virtue of their wins The teams that won will not see action again until Friday night with thc exception of Terril which was one of the two teams in Class B that did not draw byes for the first round Other teams going into the next round are Ocheyedan Excel sior and Lake Park Ocheyedan upset the dope bucket in the first game of the tournament by defeating Lake Center in a Class A game by a score of 26 to 31 Lake Center had gone into the finals of the Clay county tournament and was make the strongest bid for the win but scrapping team scrapped es to a victory The game was close but was ragged throughout Lake Center led 11 to 8 at first quarter time but had fallen behind to a 17 to 18 score at half time The third quarter was very close with firs one team leading and then the oth er and ended with a tie at 24 The two teams played four minutes of Uie final quarter with only one point being scored With about three minutes to go Ocheyedan started hitting the basket Baking a 26 to 31 win Terril 35 Okoboji 26 Terril had tough luck getting started in the first round Class B game with Okoboji and much to the surprise of the fans Okoboji was leading 3 to 5 at the end of the first quarter Before the half
